In Which My Job Search Continues To Suck

On Tuesday I received a rejection letter from the Office for the Comptroller of the Currency. I had interviewed with them sometime in October, and despite what I thought was a decent interview, I wasn't really expecting to get a callback or an offer.

Apparently I set my expectations too high, because on Friday I received a second rejection letter from the Office for the Comptroller of the Currency.

Though I could wallow in my lack of interview skills, I choose to look on the bright side: I must have said something right to get such a strong reaction.

And little streams of alcohol come trickling down the rocks

i'm proud: it takes some of the most creative people to get rejected twice! congrats!

At least you didn't get rejected three times ;-)

Song: Big Rock Candy Mountain

Consider this, I have heard tell of a man who once applied for a credit card. For whatever reason he was deemed not worthy of credit, and do to an error at Visa, he received 35,000 letters of rejection over the course of three days. True story. So, while that might make life a little more intersting, at least your experience is not comparably extreme.

If it makes you feel any better, at least you're not in the Army. I'm still hoping to get a job someday.
