For some reason or other I always happen to wear green on St. Patrick's Day. I never intend to, it just happens. In fact, I'd even try to avoid green, but, well, it's really really hard to fight the kind of cosmic forces that are obviously at play here.

I wore green not even realizing it was St. Paddy's day until I got to work, and I don't have a lot of green, and what I wore is something I've only worn a few times in six months. You can put that in your pipe and smoke it!
I try to wear blue. I figure if green is for Catholics and orange is for Protestants, then blue is nice and neutral. Also, Jews like blue.
