Not exactly in terms of the question of evil, but in regards to trust. I take the kids to get their shots and refuse to give them cookies before dinner and make them buckle into their carseats even when it takes extra time. They don't understand why I do any of these things (least of all the thing about the cookies) and so I ask them to trust me even though they don't and won't understand why for a while. I don't trust God that way but being a mother makes me wonder if maybe I should.
